“As part of the honors program in my medical studies at VU Amsterdam, I volunteer as a tutor for children whose parents may not have the financial means for extra support.
What I love most is the bond you build with the kids. It truly feels amazing to know that you’re the reason behind their big smiles.
The MDT education program helped me discover how much I enjoy working with children, and I hope to continue doing that in the future as a pediatrician.”

I volunteer in the gardens of the VerbroederIJ. It’s the perfect place to let my creativity bloom by coming up with ways to make the gardens even more beautiful, all while learning new things about flowers and plants. I love sharing that knowledge with visitors, too.
On top of that, the professional coaching helps me take the right steps toward becoming the person I want to be.”

That’s where I met Mrs. Beppie. She’s almost 100 years old, but if you saw her, you’d think she was 20! She’s an amazing person and so much fun to be around.
By now, we’ve become great friends and thanks to the strong network I built here, I’ve even found a real internship!”
