Do you love being outdoors, enjoy supporting a great cause, and want to be part of a fun, meaningful event? Then join us as a volunteer for Walk On Sunshine on Saturday, October 4, 2025!
We’re still looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make this inspiring wandelevenement a success. Your support will help raise funds for CP Nederland, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with cerebral palsy (CP).
And that’s where you come in!This year, the start and finish are at Sportcentrum Only Friends in Amsterdam-Noord, with walking routes of 1, 5, 10, or 20 kilometers. It’s your job (along with the team) to make sure every participant is well received and attended to during the event.
What you will be doing?
- Registration Desk: Welcome and register participants on the morning of the event.
- Medal Distribution: Hand out medals at the finish line (often combined with registration duties).
- Pacesetter for the 1 km Route: Guide and accompany participants with reduced mobility along the shortest route.
- Buffet Assistance: Help out at the breakfast buffet shared by all participants.
- ‘Sweeper’ (Bezemwagen): Walk behind the last participants to ensure everyone finishes safely.
- Aid Station Helper: Support one of the rest stops by offering drinks and snacks to participants during their breaks.
Do I need to physically be in the Netherlands to be able to join in?
Yes! Only people who are physically present in the Netherlands are able to volunteer with us and can sign up. Unfortunately, we can offer no assistance with obtaining visas to come to the country.
Is this a suitable project for me?
As a volunteer, you’ll play an important role in creating a smooth and welcoming experience for all walkers. Whether you enjoy interacting with people, guiding participants, or simply being part of a lively outdoor event, there’s a role for you! Are you ready to stand up for a long time and help with setting up, then you are perfect for this role.
