About the activity

Do you love being outdoors, enjoy nature, and see yourself walking around with route markers in hand? Then this project is perfect for you!

For the walking event Walk On Sunshine, taking place on Saturday, October 4, 2025, we’re looking for enthusiastic people to help mark out the walking routes. The event itself raises money for CP Nederland, an organization committed to supporting people with cerebral palsy (CP) – a posture and movement disorder caused by brain damage during or shortly after birth.

But for this event to run smoothly, one thing is essential: the walking routes must be clearly and carefully marked.

And that’s where you come in!This year, the start and finish are at Sportcentrum Only Friends in Amsterdam-Noord, with walking routes of 1, 5, 10, or 20 kilometers. It’s your job (along with the team) to make sure every participant can follow the route without confusion.

What you will be doing?

  • You’ll (literally) hang a plastic route marker every 100–200 meters on a tree or pole using an elastic band.
  • This will be done before the event starts, at a time we’ll schedule together.
  • We’ll provide all necessary materials and clear instructions.

Do I need to physically be in the Netherlands to be able to join in?

Yes! Only people who are physically present in the Netherlands are able to volunteer with us and can sign up. Unfortunately, we can offer no assistance with obtaining visas to come to the country.

Is this a suitable project for me?

Are you fit, detail-oriented, and able to walk or stand for extended periods? Then this is your change to make a meaningful contribution behind the scenes of a great event!

What language skills are needed?

English/Dutch
