About the activity
This lovely elderly woman needs your help. Due to missing a few fingers she is no longer able to do this kind of physical work herself. She would love nothing more than to enjoy her garden again, but several patio tiles have come loose and shifted, and she’s already fallen over them more than once. Her biggest wish is simply to be able to walk through her own garden again without fear of tripping.
We’re looking for handy volunteers (1 or 2) to raise and relevel a few patio tiles so she can move around safely again.
Please only respond if you’re able to bring your own tools: a crowbar or tile lifter, sand for backfilling, a rubber mallet, work gloves, and a spirit level.
It’s a small job that takes just an hour or two, but it can make a world of difference for someone who simply wants to feel safe in her own garden again. Sometimes the smallest gestures really do go the furthest!
Do I need to live in the Netherlands to be able to join?
Yes! Only people who live in the Netherlands can volunteer with us and can sign up. Unfortunately, we can’t help people with a visa.
