About the activity
De Kastanjehof is a small residential care center in Amsterdam’s Oosterpark neighborhood. De Kastanjehof is an exceptional home for two reasons: it has “De Salon,” a day care project where social and cultural activities are offered every day for people of all cultures and nationalities. The other reason that makes the Kastanjehof unique is that it also houses elderly people with intellectual disabilities.
This Wednesday, they host an activity with a resident from South Africa, spreading joy and companionship. The volunteers’ presence never fails to bring smiles, as they eagerly venture outdoors together. If the weather is not great, there’s always a nice indoor activity planned to keep spirits high among our cherished elders.
Do I need to physically be in the Netherlands to be able to join in?
