About the Kom Buurten action week
From 17th to January 24th, De Banne will be all about Kom Buurten, a week full of enjoyable and meaningful volunteer activities across the neighbourhood. Together with Burennetwerk, Markant and the Volunteer Center Amsterdam, we organize dozens of small and large projects that make it easy for you to join in.
About the activity
Would you like to share your knowledge and wisdom with others in the area of older people and their wellbeing? Then the volunteer role of Senior Consultant might be right for you. As a Senior Consultant, you visit older people at home, listen to their stories, and give guidance on health, social contacts, household tasks, transport, or help with practical matters or daily activities. Interested in learning more about this? Drop by and have a cup of coffee with our volunteers, and discover how nice it is to work on this beautiful project.
Do I need to live in the Netherlands to be able to join?
Yes! Only people who live in the Netherlands can volunteer with us and can sign up. Unfortunately, we can’t help people with a visa.
What language skills are needed?
English/Dutch.
