About the activity
This heavily pregnant woman in Amsterdam needs your help. Her pregnancy is medically complex and she needs to rest to prevent premature birth. She is not allowed to do anything herself. Her home has suffered mould damage and needs to be cleared out before her baby can safely live there.
What needs to be done? The job involves packing and carrying loose items into boxes and bin bags, and dismantling a few large pieces of furniture (beds and wardrobes). Most items are old or mouldy and need to be put out on the street as bulk waste. Once everything is out of the house, the home needs to be cleaned: sweeping, vacuuming and mopping. Cleaning supplies are available
Practical:
- Family home without a lift
- Plenty of parking nearby
- Limited tools available on site — handy if you can bring basic tools for dismantling furniture, just to be safe
You can make this happen. With just a few hours of your time, you give her the rest she needs — and give her baby a clean, safe start. 💛
