The Magic of Sinterklaas for EVERY Child

Soon, Amsterdam will be alive with festive colors as Sinterklaas and his Pieten sail into our beautiful canals! However, the holiday joy isn’t felt everywhere: for children growing up in poverty, a surprise in their shoe is unfortunately not guaranteed.

Together, we, and you as a volunteer can change that! At Serve the City, we believe that the magic of Sinterklaas should reach every single child in Amsterdam. And for that, we need YOU.

Your Mission?

Join our campaign and step into the shoes of Sinterklaas for a day! Buy a gift and bring a huge smile to a child’s face. Together, we can make sure no child is left behind, and that every child feels seen and loved.

All across Amsterdam! Choose your preferred location(s) in the form below and discover how easy it is to share a smile.

How does volunteering for Sinterklaas work?

1. Sign up below and choose a location.
2. In November, you’ll receive an email with all the details about the child (or children) you’ll be surprising. Such as age, gender, and gift ideas.
3. Email received? That’s when your role as a Sinterklaas volunteer officially begins! 🎁
4. Budget guideline: about €15 per child
5. Wrap it up! Make the gift look festive and add a personal note or short poem for each child.
6. Deliver your gift before the deadline mentioned in our email.
No time to bring it yourself? Order online and have it delivered directly to the location.
7. Enjoy your role as Sinterklaas for a child who truly needs it.
