Participate in our Reverse Advent Calendar Campaign
More than 300 volunteers are joining our ‘Reverse Advent Calendar’ initiative, making the countdown to Christmas even more meaningful. Instead of taking something out of your advent calendar each day, you add an item to a Christmas box. By the time Christmas arrives, you’ll have a box full of gifts and essentials ready to donate to a family in Amsterdam who needs it.

How the ‘Reversed Advent Calendar’ works.
How the ‘Reversed Advent Calendar’ works.
Normally, you take something out of an advent calendar each day, but with the Reverse Advent Calendar, it works the other way around. Every day in December, you place a small gift, a practical item, or a treat into a box. By the end of the advent period, you’ll have a box filled with surprises and useful items.
In total, your Reverse Advent Calendar box will contain 21 different essentials for a festive Christmas dinner. The total cost per box is about €35.
You can drop off your box at one of Serve the City’s locations, and we’ll make sure it reaches people in Amsterdam who could really use some extra support and warmth during the holidays. This way, the countdown to Christmas becomes meaningful not just for you, but for someone else too.
Want to join but already have a busy December? No problem, simply donate an amount you can spare, and we’ll create a beautifully filled box on your behalf.
