Not every couple gets the chance to marry. Think of homeless individuals who don’t have the money, undocumented refugees who lack the paperwork, or gay couples who aren’t allowed to marry according to the laws of their home country.
We are making this possible for six couples. And you might be able to help by becoming our love partner and contributing financially or in kind!
What will the day look like?
- In the beautifully decorated Hoftuin of the Diaconie, the soon-to-be-married couple will have an extensive photo session.
- The couple will be married in the “greenhouse” of the Diaconie. Both legal and ceremonial (or religious) options are available.
- All guests will enjoy a lovely boat ride to celebrate (and to make space for the next couple 😜).
- And it’s a quick turnaround! The next couple is already waiting to be pampered.
- Thought is also given to the wedding night, allowing the couple to enjoy a mini-honeymoon in their own city and reflect on a beautiful day in peace.
- And all of this will happen six times! 😉
Below are examples of how you can contribute, but we would love to discuss possibilities with you personally!
From makeup artists, wedding dresses, snacks, drinks, and everything else that comes with a wedding is needed, and we are open to your creativity as well.

To top it off: a real boat trip through the beautiful canals of Amsterdam with the newlywed couple and their guests. Will you make this possible with a donation of 1,000 euros?

Good clothing makes the man or woman. Will you ensure that a couple looks their best on this day? With a donation of 5,000 euros, you can make it happen!
