About the activity
Zonnehuis Bovenkerk is a living community for elderly with dementia, in Amstelveen.
They are looking for volunteers who can be a host(ess) for the elderly living there.
When you arrive, the contactperson from the location will show you around. After this, you can socialize with the people, play games with them, get them something to drink or bring them back to their room. Do you have a nice creative idea? This location is very open to what you like to do with the residents. Baking cookies, painting, dancing or making music with the residents. Everything is possible!
After you’ve signed up, you get the contact details of the location. So you can always contact them beforehand to talk about your ideas.
Do I need to live in the Netherlands to be able to join?
Yes! Only people who live in the Netherlands are able to volunteer with us and can sign up. Unfortunately we can’t help people with a visa.
Is this a suitable project for me?
