About the Kom Buurten action week
From 17th to January 24th, De Banne will be all about Kom Buurten, a week full of enjoyable and meaningful volunteer activities across the neighbourhood. Together with Burennetwerk, Markant and the Volunteer Center Amsterdam, we organize dozens of small and large projects that make it easy for you to join in.
About the activity
During the opening weekend, we celebrate De Banne Winter Festival, a free and festive event for young and old. This winter festival is organised in collaboration with De Rietwijker, De Zeeslag, and ’t Kofschip and is all about coming together, meeting each other, and enjoying the neighbourhood. Everyone is welcome to join and take part.
We start the day at 12:00 with a cosy brunch, where neighbours can meet while enjoying good food and drinks. After that, there is an interactive and musical inspiration session that invites you to join in, listen, and move together. Later, there are many activities, with fun activities, games, and creative moments. Of course, there are also snacks and drinks to enjoy in between.
All activities take place at different locations within walking distance, so you can easily join everything.
Do I need to live in the Netherlands to be able to join?
Yes! Only people who live in the Netherlands can volunteer with us and can sign up. Unfortunately, we can’t help people with a visa.
