About the activity
On this day you’ll help to assist a fashion show for children at an emergency shelter. Help them with make-up, taking pictures and styling their hair and make it possible for them to have an unforgettable day!

What is your impact?
Thanks to your helping hands, these children get to enjoy a carefree moment and feel like the stars of the show. They’ll be pampered, celebrated, and go home with a beautiful photo of themselves — maybe even with their siblings or family.

The location will provide a red carpet, music, popcorn and soda to complete the festive vibe. We’re still looking for support with make-up, hair, and photography to make it all feel extra special and cozy.

About the organisation
At this emergency shelter of HVO-Querido, around 40 families are currently living together out of necessity, each with their own story.

Important information
If you have any extra make-up or styling tools at home, feel free to bring them along — every little bit helps!

Do I need to physically be in the Netherlands to be able to join in?

Yes! Only people who are physically present in the Netherlands are able to volunteer with us and can sign up. Unfortunately, we can offer no assistance with obtaining visas to come to the country.

Is this a suitable project for me?

If you like connecting with children (do a bit of make-up and styling) and would like to make a positive impact!

What language skills are needed?

No specific language is required. We prefer volunteers who speak Dutch, so that communication with the children goes smoothly but it’s not a strict requirement.

Your sign-up in three steps
