“I got involved with Serve the City Young because I couldn’t find an internship. They helped me find a replacement internship at a care home for the elderly.
That’s where I met Mrs. Beppie. She’s almost 100 years old but if you saw her, you’d think she was not 100, but 20! She’s such a fun person and we’ve had so many laughs together.
In the meantime, we’ve not only become good friends, but thanks to the great network I’ve built here, I’ve also found a real internship placement.”

“We help young people aged 14 to 30 use their energy and talents to make a difference in society by connecting them to volunteer projects that match their interests.”
Serve the City Young brings together enthusiastic young people and social organizations. We motivate youth, schools, organizations, and educational institutions to actively contribute to Amsterdam and its residents.
At the same time, we support social organizations in making the most of the talents young volunteers have to offer. With us, young people get the chance to do something meaningful for others while gaining valuable experience and developing themselves further.
