Lovely meetings during Beauty Day
Every month we are trying to visit this location for mentally disabled at the Kinkerstraat. They are living here together and visitors also come by on this beauty day and the personal attention is much appreciated.
Volunteer Nina Milova:
“I enjoy doing nails in my spare time, which is why the Beauty Day is so much fun. I’m originally from Macedonia where I also did volunteer work. I discovered Serve the City via Google. The organisation is also open to visitors who don’t speak Dutch yet and it is good to practice my language skills while volunteering.”
Participant Rietje:
“Thanks to the Beauty Day I now have lovely looking nails. I live independently now, and I love it. My sister helps me cook and do the housekeeping, and I work at an art atelier where I draw birds. There will be an exhibition of our work in March!”
