About the activity
We are searching for passionate volunteers to make a difference in the Borgerstraat neighbourhood!
At Borgerstraat, there are 17 neglected and overgrown gardens of vulnerable citizens living in social housing, who cannot maintain them alone due to physical, mental, or other living conditions, and we would like to change that! The goal of this event is to assist the citizens in maintaining the garden while having a nice chat.
We’re organizing a special community action day, in collaboration with Buurtteam and other partners. We truly believe that a welcoming, green garden does more than brighten a street, it can lift people’s spirits, inspire positivity, and encourage a healthier lifestyle.
We will start the day at 10:00 with a nice chat and coffee to get to know each other, organizing the day, start making the gardens including a lunch break.
Be ready to get your hands dirty while supporting the social and contribute to the neighborhood livability!
Do I need to physically be in the Netherlands to be able to join in?
Yes! Only people who are physically present in the Netherlands are able to volunteer with us and can sign up. Unfortunately, we can offer no assistance with obtaining visas to come to the country.
Is this a suitable project for me?
If you like gardening, contributing to the liveability of a neighbourhood and meeting new people, this is ideal for you!
